Embroidered Patches
Visible stitched texture gives bold emblems and clear lettering a dimensional finish.
Best for: Bold emblems and clear lettering

Woven Patches
Fine woven threads keep compact lettering and intricate linework clear on a flatter surface.
Best for: Fine lines and compact lettering

PVC Patches
A molded 2D or 3D surface creates distinct levels for graphic shapes and raised emblems.
Best for: Separated shapes and raised relief

Chenille Patches
Raised, fuzzy yarn creates varsity texture for large letters and open, bold shapes.
Best for: Large letters and varsity motifs

Printed Patches
A printed face preserves photos, gradients and multicolor illustrations without converting every detail into stitches.
Best for: Photos, gradients and full color

Leather Patches
Engraved or embossed marks give simple logos a leather finish; the material and marking method shape the final contrast.
Best for: Simple logos and leather branding

Name Patches
Text-led patches make names, roles and company lettering the focus, with a clearly defined border.
Best for: Names, role labels and uniform identification

Indoor or outdoor?
For frequent moisture exposure, consider PVC as a starting point. Check the complete patch and attachment against the actual wear and care conditions.
Check your logo at finished size
View custom logo patches at the size they will be worn. If lettering closes up, simplify it, increase the size, or consider woven or printed construction.
Plan the attachment
Decide whether the patch should stay fixed or be removable. Share the receiving material before confirming a backing.
For heat-applied attachment, check the garment’s care label first. The GINETEX care-symbol guide explains ironing limits.

09 / COMMON QUESTIONS
Custom Patches: Selection FAQ
Quick answers to help you choose a starting point.
Which custom patch type should I choose?
Start with the artwork effect: embroidered for stitched texture, woven for fine lettering, printed for photos or gradients, PVC for molded relief, chenille for varsity texture, and leather for engraved or embossed branding. Then check the finished size and attachment against its intended use.
Should I choose embroidered or woven patches?
Choose embroidery when visible stitches are part of the look. Choose woven when fine lines or compact lettering matter more than raised texture. Judge the smallest text at the actual finished size before deciding.
Which patch works for photos or gradients?
Printed patches are the starting point for photographic artwork, blended colors and complex illustrations. The source image still needs enough resolution for the intended finished size.
Which type supports a molded 2D or 3D effect?
PVC patches support molded flat levels or rounded 3D relief. The choice depends on whether the artwork needs clean stepped shapes or a sculpted surface.
What backing should I choose?
Start with how the patch will attach and whether it needs to be removable. Sew-on, iron-on and hook-and-loop options depend on the patch construction and the receiving fabric or surface. Include the garment material and care requirements in your quote request.
What is the minimum order quantity?
The minimum order quantity is 200 pcs. Include your required quantity when starting your custom patch project.
Can you help review my artwork?
Yes. Send your artwork, intended dimensions and application. We can review which patch type suits the smallest lettering, linework, color transitions and intended surface effect.
Can I order custom shapes?
Yes. Custom outlines can follow your design. The chosen patch construction, border and narrow parts of the outline determine which shapes are practical.
How do I start a quote?
Use Customize Your Patch or Contact Our Team. Provide the patch type if known, size, quantity of at least 200 pcs, artwork and intended attachment.
